Yes! The lock operates on batteries (not mains power), so load shedding won't affect it. The batteries typically last 8-12 months with normal use, and you'll get plenty of warning before they need replacing.
How difficult is it to install the Safeva™ ProGuard?
Installation is surprisingly simple! Most customers complete it in 10-15 minutes with just a screwdriver. The lock fits standard South African door preparations, and we include a detailed step-by-step guide. No electrician or locksmith needed.
What happens if the battery dies?
